Did you know that you are unique, that you were born for greatness and that you have a God-given purpose on this earth? You may have labelled yourself a mistake, an accident or perhaps conceived as result of a drunken fling? Perhaps, you may think your life just happened and that you just appeared, and that there is no meaning to your life. You probably thought you were born to go to school, college, get a job, get married, have children or vice-versa. What if this wasn’t all true? What if your existence or your birth was divinely orchestrated and planned by God? Your conception may have been a shock to your parents and your family but it certainly was by no means a surprise to God.

Did you know you are masterpiece? You are fearfully and wonderfully made and that you are indeed a beautiful work of art by the hands of your creator. No these are not empty words my friends — these are words of truth. You are an original and there is no exact replica of you. Nobody else has that unique gifting and talent that you have. Nobody can sing, paint, cook, write, build, or fix exactly and uniquely the way you do. You were carefully and painstakingly created by God in your Mothers womb as stated in Isaiah 44:24

‘Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, who formed you in the womb’

Before you were born, God had an amazing plan and purpose for your life — even before your parents met each other, or knew of each other. Do you believe me? Look what God said to the prophet Jeremiah in Jeremiah Chapter 1 vs 5 below

“Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you, and before you were born, I consecrated you; I appointed you to be a prophet to the nations”.

Isn’t this beautiful? God knew you before you were conceived in your mother’s womb. He knew you before you were born. He already knew your genius long before others discovered it. God has appointed you for greatness, to make a difference in this world, to be a blessing and to change the lives of others for the better, however small— at home, at school, at university, in the hospitals, in the cafe, in the shop, in the office or wherever. You have a God-given purpose. What do you think it is?
