Remember your Wins
You may have woken up this early morning reflecting on what you have achieved this year. You are probably thinking about how you haven’t made much progress this year or not moving forward as fast as you had wanted to. My friend, do not be disheartened. The advice I can offer to you is to remember your wins, however small they are. Take some out today and think about your wins. Whose smile did you bring across somebody face? What is the new thing or project or relationship or goal you started this year? This is a win in itself. Your goal or your project may not be where you wanted it to be this year. The win is you did actually start it? Your goal can only go up from there. Don’t beat yourself up. Give yourself the gift of grace. Be kind, accepting and gracious to yourself. We are living in unprecedented and uncertain times. You are showing up at work either in person or virtually. You are showing up for your family — that’s a win itself. You are doing your very best. You are strong. You are mighty. You are victorious. Even if nobody appreciates you or recognizes you. Take some out, to acknowledge. We can be our own harshest critic. Believe me. I know this. Stir up the inner cheerleader in you today. Your ‘inner cheerleader’ who is cheering you on and rooting for you to cross the finishing line. Remember your wins this year, however small.
Grab a pen and paper now and write down two of your wins this year. Don’t analyse it too much. Write down exactly what comes into your mind. You are winning. You are already champion. You are more than a conqueror.
